Racoon Release Program
This is Dea Heffernan with two baby racoons that were brought to us abandoned when they were only a few weeks old. We actually had 4 of these little guys at once. What a handful! |

Here is Dr. Siegel's daughter, Demi, releasing the racoons. Special thanks go to Mr. Steve Brewer for letting us release the racoons on his property. They were released onto his 40 acre home site. We had no doubt this crew would be just fine on their own. |

Turtle Rescue
This turtle was brought in to our clinic by a compassionate and concerned citizen. His rear leg was mangled and severly infected. After 2 weeks of antibiotic therapy to get the infection under control, and force feeding to get his strength up, we amputated his leg using the state of the art laser. After a brief rehab period, he was released to the wild doing great! |

Hedgehog Case
This hedgehog is unfortunately deceased, but the case is worthy of mention. His owners brought him in for facial swelling. After doing radiographs and a biopsy, cancer of the lower jaw bone was confirmed the culprit. We amputated the jaw using laser. Though the cancer had already spread and eventually was the cause of his demise, he was able to live for months without pain or discomfort. |
