Exam Room #1 (the baby room):

Features babies and their parents in all environments. This room represents the circle of life. Babies are our hope for a better future.

We use video ottoscopy during exams, which allows us (and you) to see into the ear with much greater accuracy. Many ear disease's in pets go undetected until the pet begins to show symptoms. Utilizing the technology of video otoscopy, early infections are diagnosed and treated before they turn into chronic and painful ear disease.

Exam Room #2 (Underwater Room):

when completed will be a full scale coral reef and depict the relationships of the different species that live on a reef.

This room is where we do our advanced ophthalmic evaluations. We have a slit lamp biomicroscope and a instrument to take eye pressures. We promote thorough ophthalmic evaluations regularly, just like for people, to detect early signs of a problem before the animal becames symptomatic. Certain breeds of animals are more prone to eye problems than others. As an example, glaucoma and cataracts are 2 common problems diagnosed in animals. Early detection may save your pets vision.

Exam Room#3 (Fantasy Room):

The setting is the university campus of the enchanted forest (U of EF). The U of EF represents a community that models, teaches, and promotes positive relationships to families. Dr. Siegel is writing a children's book from the characters in the wall art. The stories are about Dr. Siegel's family's real day to day experiences but they end with a RCB twist. RCB (redirecting children's behavior) is a course, designed to instruct families on parenting. Dr. Siegel is a certified instructer of RCB. Dr. Siegel, her husband, Jerry, and two daughters, Demi and Alyssa, are also depicted in the wall art. Thsi room also has video otoscopy.

Lab and Pharmacy:
Our on-site laboratory allows us fast and accurate test results in emergency situations.

Treatment and Radiology:
Our state of the art facility features a full radiology service with automatic developer process. We also feature inoperative dental radiographs with a chair side developer which shortens the time required to keep a patient under anesthesia while waiting for X-ray results

Surgery

We are a full service Medical and Surgical facility with state of the art equipment. Laser surgery is one of the most exciting and new surgical techniques available! Laser surgery is documented to speed healing and minimize post surgical pain.

The use of flexable endoscopy allows us to see into the stomach or intestines with out making surgical incisions. Biopsies and removal of some masses can be performed with endoscopy.

Anesthetic risks are minimized by thoroughly working up our cases prior to anesthesia and diligently monitoring our patients when under anesthesia. Our specialized monitoring equipment is monitered by our trained veterinary technicians and includes EKG, pulse oxcimitry, and blood pressure readings. Our technicians stay with the patient from induction to recovery.

It is well documented from human studies that animals and people who have less post-operative pain, heal faster, and recover faster. The very best in post-operative pain management is offered to our patients.

We employ services of a board certified surgeon for on site specialty surgeries. Your pet receives the highest quality of surgical expertice by a specialist while maintaining the loving care of those who know him best.

Ultrasound and Telemedicine:

We are the first veterinary hospital in Florida to purchase an ultrasound telemedicine system. Telemedicine allows us to send real time ultrasound images to a team of board certified veterinary specialist in another state. They then consult with us and aid in the diagnosis and treatment plan for your pet. Owners are encouraged to be present when their family member is ultrasounded. Telemedicine offers our clients a second opinion by the finest boarded specialists in their fields while maintaining continuity of care from someone you already know and trust with your pet. Telemedicine also saves precious time in critical cases by not having to travel to another referral center.

Boarding

We want your pet to enjoy staying at PVMC. We take great care insuring that they have a clean and pleasant environment. Every dog is allowed time in the fenced exercise area twice daily. To ensure the health and safety of all of the pets boarding with us we have certain requirements for our guests. Make sure you are familiar with these requirements before boarding your pet.

You are welcome to bring food, treats and toys for your pet while boarding. We do ask that you clearly label all items that you leave with your animal. We feed Iams Low Residue Dog Food (highly palatable and easy to digest) and Iams Cat Food.

Special Services for Boarders: Professional post-operative care at no additional charge should you decide to have any surgical procedures performed while your pet is boarding.

Dogs Indoor / Outdoor Runs allow a dog access to the air conditioned building as well as an outdoor run that faces the exercise area. This gives them a chance to romp and play. Doggie Playtime is for dogs that have extra energy to burn.

Cats Your cat is welcome to stay in our luxourious kitty condo. This delightful little condo is equipted with all the amenities of pampered living. There is a large exercise stand with hides and posts for you cat to enjoy. Your cat will never get bored watching all the hussle and bussle of our busey clinic through the glass viewing area. See requirements above for all kitty condo stays. Enjoy fresh Catnip at no charge when available.

Grooming
We groom every Monday through Friday. Our groomer enjoys ALL breeds and all styles. Call for appointments.
