Marlene Siegel, D.V.M.

Dr. Siegel obtained her D.V.M. in 1985 from the University of Florida. She established PVMC in 1987. She shares her veterinary knowledge in both published articles and at speaking engagements. Her special interests lie in internal medicine, ophthalmology & dermatology.
Outside of the office, Dr. Siegel loves sports, the arts, dance and studying Spanish. She is also a certified parent educator and teaches a course called Redirecting Children's Behavior to parents, teachers and health professionals. Her husband, Jerry Harrell, is also an RCB certified teacher. They have 2 young daughters, Alyssa and Demi.


Jerry Harrell

Jerry Harrell and Dr. Siegel met in 90, married in '92. Jerry is a member of the ASVDT as a Dental Technician and is currently undergoing training to be our Ultrasound and Endoscopy Technician. He is also a licensed General Contractor. Most of all, he is an indispensible part of our hospital team. His construction talents enabled him to design and build our kennels, remodel our original buildings, and design and oversee the construction of our expanded facility. Jerry was voted our MVP for his untiring efforts to complete the beautiful building we are in. Extra thanks go to Jerry for designing and building the waterfall and pond in our entrance way. And we are not done with his talents!! Jerry is involved in every aspect of the clinic, from surgical assistance to staff management and equipment maintanance. His sports interests include snow and water skiing, fishing, tennis, golf, biking, weight lifting, and more.

Marguerite Obadia, A.H.T.

Marguerite hails from Canada, where she obtained her Vet Tech Certification. She is a very caring, dedicated and intelligent addition to our staff. Marguerite spends as much time at our clinic as she can, but the rest of her time is spent at the Moffitt Cancer Center, as coordinator of brain cancer research. Her compassion and love of animals, makes her a great member of our team at PVMC. Marguerite and her husband Jacques, share their home with 2 cats, 3 birds, and their handsome german shepherd, Timber.

Dea Heffernan

Dea joined our family in '98, bringing with her a vast array of computer technology and office management skills. Her organizational and implementation skills are perfectly balanced with her compassionate and generous disposition. Dea keeps us focused and moving forward while providing an ideal model of dedication and excellence in performance. Her accomplishments include designing our logo, building and maintaining our web site, and designing and implementing all the paper work that makes our office run efficiently. She has a proud military background and is a veteran of the Persian Gulf war. Dea enjoys working with computers, people and animals! She is a senior at USF, majoring in biology. Her special interests lie with primate studies and she aspires to attain a PhD in this area. Her husband Ronan is a great help to us by keeping our local network running smoothly.

Leanne

Leanne is our front office assistant. Before working for our clinic, Leanne worked reception for a busy medical practice in New Jersey. She had no problems translating her skills from people patients to our four-legged variety!

Margaret A. Wissman, D.V.M.

American Board of Veterinary Practitioners, Avian Practice

Dr. Wissman received her D.V.M. in 1981 from the University of Illinois. She became Board Certified in Avian Practice in 1994. This makes her part of an elite group of less than 100 in the world. She and her husband, Bill Parsons, own Icarus Mobile Veterinary Service. They are dedicated to advancing and promotion avian medicine and stewardship. In addition to their extensive experience with birds, they also own a private facility for breeding endangered and threatened marmosets and tamarins, Small World Zoological Gardens and Sanctuary. Bill Parsons, M.S.

Bill Parsons is a zoologist and an aviculturist with over thirty years of experience breeding birds and small monkeys (marmosets and tamarins). He is active in the Association of Avian Veterinarians and has presented papers for AAV for several years. He has lectured on avian topics in the U.S. and the Republic of South Africa.

Daniel Madock, D.C., P.A.

Dr. "Dan" Madock owns a thriving chiropractic practice in Tampa. He is certified to work on animals as well. Dr. Madock evaluates and adjusts animals at our office once or twice a week.
