Redirecting Puppy Behavior
For Puppies 10 weeks to 5 months

These classes will help you get through those first difficult months of the puppy`s behavioral and social development.

In the United States, 60% of the animals that end up in the humane shelters may be there because of behavioral problems. Many of those are dogs given up within the first year or two of ownership. Behavioral problems with our pets are of epidemic proportions, resulting in the euthanizing of millions of dogs and cats each year in America.

The sensitive socialization period is 3-16 weeks of age for dogs. The puppy needs to be exposed to various situations and types of people that the pet may need to interact with later in life. A good rule of thumb is five new things a week.

Training takes place in a relaxed and positive atmosphere. You and your puppy will learn basic obedience commands, such as come when called, sit, down, stay and heel on lead. You will also learn special tips on how to solve problem behaviors, such as housetraining, biting, barking, chewing, jumping up, getting on furniture, and digging, as well as other related topics.

Your puppy`s training will go a lot faster and be more successful when every member of the family does the same training skills. Consistency is key, therefor, we encourage the whole family attend every class.

Classes are one hour each week for 6 weeks. Registration Fee is $90.00.
